Locations & Accommodations
While studying at on one our schools, you can choose to live at a local residence club or with a host family. When you select our “homestay” option, you are placed with a trusted family who we have carefully screened and interviewed. We have both single and double occupancy options and most homestay families provide 14 meals per week (including breakfast and dinner). Living with an American family is a great way to become fully immersed in the English language and experience American traditions firsthand. USA Student Residences at the Ansonia is located three blocks from Union Square. This residence club offers shared or private rooms with either shared or private bathrooms. USA Student Residences at the Ansonia shares the building with a travelers' hostel, which means there are always weekday and weekend tours and activities for residents in which students may choose to participate.

The International House is located on the campus of the University of Chicago, about 20 minutes from our Intrax center via the Metra 'Electric Line'. This residence club offers small rooms which contain a twin bed, desk, dresser and closet. The common areas provide a place to socialize and study during the day or evening. There is also a beautiful grand piano, library, courtyard with fountain and trees, computer lab with internet access and laundry room. A large kitchen is available to residents to prepare their own meals, as well as an adjoining dining room to enjoy them in.

Arlington house is located on the city's north east side in a neighborhood called Lincoln Park. Lincoln Park is one of the most popular areas for young people in the city. Arlington House is close to the Fullerton "El" station about 20 minutes from our Intrax center via the Redline train. It is also easily accessible via the 22 Clark and 151 Sheridan buses. This residence club offers private rooms (with shared bath) with a bed and dresser and some rooms also have a desk. Arlington also has a vibrant TV lounge, central lobby, vending machines, outside area and public computers. This option is suitable for students on a tight budget.
